Vzdělávání v Řecku a jeho klíčové ukazatele a ekonomické implikace v rámci Evropské unie

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis analyzes the Greek education system within the context of the European Union, with particular emphasis on its economic impact and relevance to the labor market. Using an analytical and comparative approach, it examines the level of educational attainment, the quality of educational outcomes, the structure and volume of educational funding, and their correlation with employment rates and socioeconomic stability. The thesis draws on data from international institutions (e.g., OECD, Eurostat) and compares the Greek situation with selected EU member states. The findings indicate that despite progress in education accessibility, Greece continues to face persistent challenges such as educational inequalities, limited employability of graduates, and low system efficiency. The thesis offers policy recommendations aimed at enhancing the contribution of education to long-term economic development.
