Abstract
This bachelor thesis is focused on health insurance in the Czech Republic.
It defines the basic concepts of health insurance as they are insured and insurance payers, their rights and obligations, and calculate rates of health insurance, as well as the method of payment of premiums. It also maps the evolution of health insurance and health insurance companies since the Czech Republic in 1993 to the present. The work also includes analysis of health care expenditure in the Czech Republic in 2010. The aim of this work is the analysis of the health insurance system in the Czech Republic and suggestions for improvement of the system.
