Podpora malého a středního podnikání v Evropské unii se zaměřením na Českou republiku

Abstract

This thesis focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic. It discusses their historical development, current state, and comparison with other European Union member states. The thesis analyzes the institutional framework for supporting entrepreneurship and mentions available forms of direct and indirect support. In the final part, the thesis examines the use of support from European Union sources in the Czech Republic, specifically in the programming period 2014-2020. It focuses on the competitiveness of SMEs as the goal of economic and social cohesion policies and the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness, which was the key program for Czech entrepreneurs in the studied period. The thesis also examines the program's strategic goals and financial performance. This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of SMEs and the business environment that influences them, introduce financing opportunities for SMEs in the Czech Republic, and analyze the use of support through the most significant operational program for SMEs from the previous programming period.
