Abstract

The theme of this thesis was to analyze the potential of e-auctions in the market of municipal offices. Software, which is described in this thesis called PROe.biz serves to implement on-line competitions in the marketing of supplier relationships. The main objective was to determine the market share of NAR marketing s.r.o. in the market of municipal offices in the Czech Republic. It was then examined whether the municipal offices using e-auction software are cooperating with NAR marketing s.r.o. or other competitive provider. Were addressed municipal offices with more than 9 000 inhabitants. These cities were a total of 198 and the final number of 145 cities that responded to its questionnaire by filling in both electronic and on telephone interviews. Contact persons were the secretaries of the municipal offices, because they organize the running of the municipality, they are preferably in conjunction with all departments and offices and they are able to run tests of using e-auctions in selection of cities and set rules for it. The data obtained were processed using a personal computer in Microsoft Excel program, in which were used statistical methods. Results were expressed both in absolute and relative terms. The theoretical part was devoted to purchasing marketing background, as it closely touches the electronic auctions. In other parts were cognizaned characteristics of PROe.biz software, information about the NAR marketing s.r.o. as well as information on other providers of electronic auctions. The results obtained in marketing research, showed that the company NAR marketing s.r.o. is the dominant provider of e-auctions. While surveying the recognition of the company it has been revealed, that it covers 66% of the market. Regarding the use of this company it has been revealed, that 38 respondents (26%) is cooperating with providers of e-auctions. This work will serve not only for the purpose of this thesis, but also for the NAR marketing s.r.o., which will get the actual information about the market and may publish them at conferences and workshops, which is organizing.
