Abstract
The presented thesis is focused on the analysis of the waste material captured in the catcher of the high-pressure abrasive water jet in the Laboratory of the water jet of Physics HGF VŠB-TUO and the possibility of its removal. The thesis is also dealing with the issue of the water jet waste tank operation. The first part describes the water jet technology, comparing it with the abrasive water jet technology and introduces the components of the device. The second part is dedicated to applied abrasives and focuses on the most commonly used abrasive – almandine and the possibility of its recycling. Furthermore, the outcomes of the analysis of materials cut by the abrasive water jet at the Institute of Physics, their general description and basic chemical composition are presented. In the experimental part, the waste sludge is analyzed and the possible impact on the environment and the removal proposal is discussed.
