Abstract
The thesis deals with the investigation of reuse of steel slag, taken from the basic oxygen furnace, as an adsorbent of Cu2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+ ions. It is consist of two parts. The theoretical part is focused on more detailed characteristics of heavy metals, elimination procedures, steel slags and adsorption process. It also includes a description of the principles of analytical methods, applied in the practical part of the work. In it is experimental part, the thesis focuses on the pretreatment and characterization of slag, using available analytical methods. The experimental part deals with adsorption of ions of the selected heavy metals on pretreated steel slag, performing sorption tests and analysis of the obtained products using of methods AAS and thermal analysis.
