Abstract
The thesis is focused on the physical modeling of technological conditions of refining metal in the ladle. The first part of this work is devoted to the characteristics of aluminium and aluminium alloys. Another theoretical part is focused on individual important parameters, which are put in the production of aluminum, such as the removal of harmful gases
and non-metalic inclusions. Specifically, to increase purity and in partuculat to. Also,
the attention was focused on the description of methods of physical and numerical modelling of metallurgical processes. The literature analysis dealt with the study of experimental research, with the aim of a definition of influential parameters in the process of refining aluminium melt with the inert gas. Experiments were perfomed to investigate individual parameters affecting the intensification of degassing, such as rotational speed, inert gas flow rate and rotor immersion depth.
