Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). The aim of this diploma thesis is to outline the issue of Occupational Health and Safety based on the analysis of legislation and its comparison with the internal materials of the selected employer. Based on the analysis of OHS in the environment of a particular employer, its evaluation will be performed and proposals to improve the situation in this area will be given. In the theoretical part, there is the legal regulation of Occupational Health and Safety defined as well as the terms related to this topic such as risk and rights and obligations of employees and employers in the field of OHS. One chapter is devoted to personal protective equipment and work-related injuries. Next chapter deals with the issues related to the workplace and the working environment. At the end of the theoretical part, there are selected methods and indicators in the field of OHS presented. The practical part deals with the analysis of OHS at the selected employer. The risks that occur at the employer's workplace are examined. Next chapter is devoted to the personal protective equipment. Statistics of work-related injuries and their causes are assessed. A separate chapter is devoted to a check-up provided by a professionally qualified person. There are also economic aspects of health and safety considered. Finally, a safety in the company is evaluated and recommendations and proposals are given.
