Hydroekologický monitoring vybraného vodního toku dle metodiky HEM

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the hydroecological monitoring of the Stonávka watercourse, conducted according to the HEM 2014 methodology. The theoretical part describes key concepts related to hydroecology and hydromorphology, including an overview of the evaluated zones (river channel, bank and riparian zone, and floodplain), which are analyzed in more detail based on the methodology. Additionally, it presents a comparison of river revitalization projects carried out both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The thesis also provides a brief overview of methods used to assess the hydromorphological condition of watercourses, both domestically and internationally, along with a more detailed discussion of the legislation governing hydroecological monitoring in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the monitoring of selected sections of the Stonávka watercourse is conducted using the HEM methodology over a total length of 4.980 km, divided into three areas and 27 sections. Subsequently, appropriate calculations are performed to determine the hydroecological status class of individual sections according to zones. Finally, an overall calculation and evaluation of the hydromorphological quality of the Stonávka water body is conducted.
