Abstract

This thesis deals with evalutation of the implementation of eHealth in the Czech Republic and Sweden. At present, there is a great interest in electronising and digitizing data in many fields of human activity. Electronization brings both time savings and financial savings. Healthcare is an important part of society, it has a lot of financial resources, and it is not only worthwhile to look for savings and more efficiency. The thesis describes eGovernment and eHealth in the Czech republic and Sweden. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the implementation of eHealth in the Czech Republic and Sweden. The thesis deals with two hypotheses H1 and H2 in the following terms: H1 - a state that has advanced eHealth offers better accessibility, level and quality of health care; H2 - national strategies are necessary for implementation to eHealth. The thesis deals with analysis of selected electronic health databases, analysis of selected general health indicators, analysis of eHealth indicators, status analysis and implementation of eHealth in both countries. On the basis of the analyzes carried out, both hypotheses are confirmed. To meet the goal, comparative analysis methods are used. The thesis is based on secondary analysis of data from OECD, World Databank, WHO, Eurostat. Other sources include professional literature from the public sector, the health sector and specialized Internet resources, mainly the websites of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, the European Commission.
