Abstract

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the secondary utilization of building rubble. Today the construction industry produces a significant amount of construction and demolition waste. The thesis first deals with the legislative definition of this issue, which is followed by the processing of data published by the portals of Cenia, Eurostat and the Czech Statistical Office. The aim of this thesis was the identification of possible ways to utilize the building rubble as a secondary material. Building rubble was classified into different groups based on the primary material used for their original production. In order to reach this aim, it became necessary to identify the material constitution and its properties. Furthermore the attention was paid to the topic of processing and separation of building rubble. Individual technologies used during the phases of preparation, crushing and separation of this kind of waste were evaluated. The technologies used for crushing, jaw crusher and impact crusher, were then compared to one another. At the end thesis focuses on construction applications of this waste and advantages together with the limitations of their respective forms of utilization.
