Abstract
In my bachelor’s thesis, I examine the historical development and technological significance of the NDS 6 neutralization and decontamination station in Stráž pod Ralskem. This station represents a key link in the remediation chain, designed to treat water pumped directly from leaching fields as well as to perform final treatment of solutions fed from the NDS 10 station. In this thesis, I trace the historical transformations of the facility and provide a detailed description of the technological process based on the neutralization of contaminated water using lime milk. Emphasis is placed on the technical aspects of sludge separation and ensuring the final water quality before discharge into the Ploučnice River in accordance with environmental limits. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the role of NDS 6 within the comprehensive remediation of the Strážský block under the administration of the state-owned enterprise DIAMO and its significant contribution to the protection of the hydrogeological structures of the North Bohemian Cretaceous Basin.
