Abstract

Theoretical part of my thesis deals with the term personal bankruptcy and its solution debt relief in detail. My thesis states what are conditions for debt relief, debt relief process, requirements for debt relief application. It defines persons applicable for debt relief. Further it describes current development of indebtedness, filed insolvency proposal development and development in the number of approved proposals. My thesis also discusses possible future amendment to the Insolvency Act, which could be effective from 2019. In the practical part I analyse the indebtedness of a debtor and I define possible solutions according to the amendment to the Insolvency Act.
