Abstract
The thesis focuses on product development and innovation within the context of an emerging business, specifically a small travel agency operating in Slovakia. The main objective is to analyze the implementation of both product and process innovations that respond to market needs while considering the constraints typical for micro-enterprises. The product innovation is represented by the introduction of day summer camps for children, whereas the process innovation involves the digitalization of internal administrative processes through simple online tools. The thesis applies selected innovation management models such as Stage-Gate, Lean Canvas, and DMAIC, integrating theoretical frameworks with practical implementation in a real business environment. The findings demonstrate that even small businesses can successfully innovate when approaches are tailored to their specific conditions and supported by a structured methodology.
