Abstract
In this bachelor thesis a theoretical design of the braking system for a Formula
Student racing car is processed. The work focuses on a theoretical research of
braking systems and a practical part of the actual design, primarily focusing on the
production of custom-made brake discs and calculation of basic acting forces in the
system. Furthermore, it also includes a theory regarding suitable materials for
individual parts of the system.
