Obnova Podkrušnohoří - jezero Milada

Abstract

This bachelor’s work introduces us to hydrological reclamation of a former open pit mine in Chabarovice which is with its extensiveness still the largest one in the region of Northern Bohemia. The work is focused mostly on assessment of possible contribution to the region of Usti nad Labem particularly by the possibility of tourism development in the region. In the first part the work is briefly introduced with the history of brown coal mining in the Northern Bohemia lignite field concentrating on the region of Usti nad Labem par-ticularly the history of mining in the open pit mine Chabarovice. In the following part the work describes actual process of the reclamation and compares it with other already fi-nished water conservation reclamations in the region of Northern Bohemia. The evaluation of this project follows in the context with regional development particularly with the possibility of development in the field of tourism.
