Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the inventory management, in particular the stock of purchased items, in the production organization. Using the available literature, it focuses on the baseline situation in the company, describes its current inventory management system and suggests measures to improve inventory management in the selected warehouse. The starting point of the thesis is ABC analysis. For vital items, the amount of the insurance stock, the optimum ordering level and the appropriate ordering system including the determination of the signal level are determined. The aim of the thesis is to streamline the current inventory management system.
