Abstract

Master thesis is focused on the description of the process of pulverized coal injecting to the blast furnace. Coke, as the most expensive raw material in the blast furnace, is partially replaced by coal injected through the tuyeres in to the blast furnace race way. Technology is economically and technologically advantageous. Factors in fluencing the injection of coal, such as the properties of the coal, its composition and the method of injection, must be taken in to account. The practical part of the master thesis deals with the description of coal properties and grouting technology. The practical part consists of correlations from operational data of real working plant and recommendations for correct and safe injection of coal.
