Abstract

Bachelor thesis includes knowledge about promising materials for the manufacture of connecting rods. The first part focuses on the most commonly used materials such as steel, titanium and aluminum alloys. There are methods of manufacturing connecting rods individual materials, their use in the automotive world. The second part focuses on the aluminum alloy 7075, which is widely used for manufacturing connecting rods. Finding a reason why this alloy is not frequently used in normal operation and for the production of other car parts. In the experimental part metallographic study of 7075-T6 aluminum alloys used for connecting rods was performed. In conclusion there are other options designed materials for the production of connecting rods.
