Geografická analýza potenciálu energetického využití biomasy v podmínkách obce

Abstract

This thesis evaluates energy potential of biomass exploitation for municipality. Its main objective is to find existing or potential biomass sources in a selected territory, while implementing geographical analysis. This analysis is carried out by GIS which is furthermore used for evaluation of ecological suitability of the selected area for growing specific crops or usage of existing sources, while implementing other geographical factors, especially area size and length of transportation routes, what influences final energy potential. In order to find this potential, calculation method based on colected available data was proposed. The method takes into account inputs for machinery production, service, usage and waste generation, biomass production, inputs and loses during its processing and transportation, and effectivity of energy utilization at the customer side. Outcomes of the pilot area analysis were applied to its surroundings covering 102 municipalities. On the basis of energy potential size and traffic accessibility of each municipality, the most suitable alternative was selected to ensure effective usage of the energy potential.
