Abstract

The thesis deals with fire safety requirements for rail vehicle seat fabrics. The first part presents rail vehicle fires and articles presenting research in the field of fire safety of upholstery used in rail vehicles. The second part describes historical and current legislation. The third part is devoted to laboratory analysis of upholstery. This part lists the materials and standards according to which the materials were tested. The data obtained is presented at the end of the third chapter. The thesis summarizes the development of legislative and technical requirements for seat fabrics and evaluates their impact on the selection of materials in the railway industry.
