Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of family business and the succession process. The aim of the thesis is to describe the characteristics of a family business, identify the key aspects of the succession process, and propose a business and succession plan for a selected family enterprise. The thesis is divided into six chapters. As part of the analytical framework, PEST, SWOT, and Porter’s five forces analyses were applied, along with the development of marketing, organizational, and financial sections of the business plan. The outcome of the thesis is a proposal of a specific strategy for handing over the business to the next generation and the creation of a clear basis for the future development of the family enterprise. The thesis provides a comprehensive treatment of the succession topic and serves as an inspiration and a practical guide for other family businesses planning systematic generational transition.
