Abstract
Thin filament pyrometry in the flame has the potential to provide highly accurate temperature measurement which has high quality temporal and spatial resolution. This bachelor thesis includes basic theory on the processes involved in flame, infrared imaging, summary of suitable methods for determining the temperature of the flame and a description of thin filament pyrometry techniques and related equipment. In the frame of this work was designed and implemented an experimental set-up for the flame temperature measuring by using thin filament pyrometry which uses monitoring the intensity of thermal radiation from the section of the heated fiber with infrared camera at a specific wavelength band. Part of this work is a detailed description of the experimental set-up and interpretation of measured data.
