Abstract

The thesis is designed to evaluate the financial performance of the automobile industry and the company Škoda Auto as between 2006 and 2010 using traditional and modern approach. The thesis is divided into six chapters, including introduction and conclusion. The guidance of the indicators are characterized by the traditional approach, which means the absolute indicators, ratios, differences indicators, aggregate indicators for evaluating financial performance, pyramidal decomposition and sensitivity analysis. A very important part of the description of the methodology is economic value added. The next section is characterized by selected industries and are also described selected economic data. In the third part of the thesis are selected indicators described in the methodology applied to the economic value of enterprise and industry. The work ends with an assessment of the results achieved and the business sector and cross-comparison of selected indicators.
