This bachelor thesis concerns the accuracy of measuring the spontaneous ignition temperature using the method of Mackey test according to the ASTM D 3523 norm, before and after the adjustment of the heating method. Theoretical part describes the spontaneous ignition in general, together with different types of spontaneous ignition. In this part is described also the material I have worked with, the impregnation varnish. In the experimental part is characterized the differential Mackey test and the results of the measurement before and after the adjustment of heating method are provided. In the final part of this bachelor theses is compared the accuracy of these measurements.
