Abstract
The dissertation deals with the design of practical principles for the design of overpressure ventilation of protected escape routes and subsequently the verification of the proposed principles, including the overall effectiveness, using the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) fire model. The work is divided into three basic parts, which logically follow each other. The first part is devoted to the theoretical definition of the solved problem. Overpressure ventilation designs based on European and Czech standards are characterized in detail and then compared. Part of this chapter is also the terminological framework of the addressed issue. The analytical part is primarily focused on determining fire scenarios and design fire. The overall procedure of the performed simulations is also selected here. The main part of the work consists of the design of final simulations for establishing principles and their subsequent evaluation. Based on the results achieved, principles supplementing the current proposal according to the Czech technical standard are established.
