Abstract

Diploma thesis entitled "The Proposal for Implementation of Risk Management in the Company PILSEN STEEL s.r.o." deals with the implementation of risk management system in an entrepreneurial environment. In the theoretical part, theoretical knowledge of the available resources of the field of risk management is gathered. This part describes terms such as hazard and risk, risk control, risk management, risk analysis, risk identification and assessment, and risk precaution. Practical approaches to risk management in companies are also being presented. Furthermore, example of selected company practices for the comparison of "how they do it elsewhere" is shown. The practical part is aimed at the analysis of the current situation in PILSEN STEEL s.r.o. to design a system of risk management in this company. For the purposes of implementation of risk management in the company, developed Risk Management guideline is attached in Annex of this Diploma thesis. The practical part further contains practical application of the proposed system for the selected company activity. The aim of the thesis, or the proposed risk management system is to be applicable to and exercisable in actual practice of the company PILSEN STEEL s.r.o. and thus to produce desired added value in the form of managing the risk control issues.
