Revitalizace areálu bývalé prodejny OKAY v Ostravě-Svinově

Abstract

In this thesis, I aim to revitalize the premises of the former OKAY store in Ostrava-Svinov. The selected location, the village of Svinov in the district of Ostrava-město in the Moravian-Silesian region, is an ever-expanding urban area, with many important transport links. For this reason, the location is a sought after area by developers for the purpose of reusing brownfields. The history and development of the district, area, influential factors, natural and technical conditions are examined in order to determine the basic parameters for the analysis of the project study–urban, ecological, economic, strategic and SWOT. The establishment of analysis and graphic outputs illustrated that the revitalization project proposed by me is not only socially beneficial for citizens, but also environmentally sustainable and financially profitable. Last but not least, this proposal is situated within the area in individual sections: the predominant aspect–a 50s retro-style American bistro with a dance floor–and complementary entertainment spaces, including an area for bowling alleys, arcade games and a concert stage. The design is visualized in a 3D model of both the interior and exterior.
