Abstract

The subject of this thesis is a strategic analysis of construction company KAVIS s.r.o. and a prognosis of the business environment, on which basis are formulated strategic alternatives for the future development of the company. The thesis is divided into two sub-sections, the theoretical part deals with the theory of strategic management and serves as the theoretical basis for the practical part. The practical part is applied on a specific company; using PEST analysis, Porter's five forces analysis, analysis of internal resources, financial analysis and SWOT analysis the company´s current state assessment is performed. This is followed by the prognosis of the business environment. Based on the results of analyzes, forecasts and assessment of the status quo, two possible strategy alternatives were formulated– the strategy of stability and the expansion strategy. In the last part, called recommendations for the implementation, the combined strategy has been recommended and recommendations for the implementation of the suggested strategy proposed.
