Analýza udržitelného rozvoje v Uherském Hradišti

Abstract

The purpose of the thesis was to highlight the development of the town towards sustainable development. The aim is to assess the evolution of the sustainable development in the town of Uherské Hradiště, determine the extent of its shift towards sustainable development and to recommend specific measures in individual areas analyzed. In the framework of the thesis were the methods used for the description, analysis, comparison and synthesis. The diploma thesis is divided into the theoretical and analytical section. The theoretical part defines the concept of the sustainable development at the international level, the level of the European Union and the Czech Republic, including its fundamental principles and pillars. A part of the theoretical section is also the distribution of the indicators of the sustainable development at the level of the European Union and Uherské Hradiště. The chapter is finished with the description of the decoupling and the ecological footprint. The analytical part is divided into two chapters, the first one contains a brief description of the town of Uherské Hradiště and the analysis of indicators at its level. The next chapter contains the analysis of the selected indicators at the level of the European Union, which were applied to the town of Uherské Hradiště. In addition, this subchapter contains the observed values of some indicators at the level of Uherské Hradiště. The following two subsections include a SWOT analysis of the town of Uherské Hradiště and the calculation of its ecological footprint. The analytical section concludes with a summary and recommendations for the management of the town of Uherské Hradiště. In conclusion, the results of all the analyzed indicators in the context of the town of Uherské Hradiště are positive, since the objectives, which the town established have been achieved. The most significant positive is considered to be a decline in the value of the ecological footprint, which is consistent with the sustainable development.
