Abstract

The subject of this thesis is to introduce polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, their detailed characteristics and effects of urban waste water. The paper also describes the properties, uses and production of sludge from wastewater treatment plants. The thesis also releases and transfers of pollutants in waste and wastewater recorded using the Integrated Pollution Register. It also explains the technological possibilities of PAHs removal from waste water treatment plants. Recent experimental section describes the sampling of PAHs in sludge and wastewater in the WWTP Ostrava - Přívoz technology. In conclusion, the results are evaluated concentration, percentage representation and mass balance of PAH in sludge in the wastewater influent and effluent and WWTP Ostrava - Přívoz effluent Svoboda flowing directly into the WWTP Ostrava - Přívoz activation tank.
