Faktory ekonomického rozvoje Jemenské republiky

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with factors of economic development of the Republic of Yemen. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out, why is the Republic of Yemen the least developed country on the Arabian Peninsula. Is it caused by neoclassic economic factors, by natural conditions, or by institutional factors? The first chapter is focused on theoretic resources of economic development and institutional economics. In the next chapter factors of economic development of countries on the Arabian Peninsula are examined. Methods of analysis and comparison are used. The last chapter includes analysis of neoclassic, natural and institutional factors of economic development of the Republic of Yemen. The chapter is focused on historical and political development, quality of human capital, natural resources, and quality of Yemeni institutions.
