Fyzikální a numerické modelování přenosových procesů v kovových taveninách při dmýchání inertního plynu

Abstract

This presented Ph.D. thesis contains basic findings from the area related to refinement of steel in a ladle with inert gas, and the possibilities for the modelling of these processes. The thesis is divided into two major parts. The first part focuses on the analysis of foreign literature, and the second part deals with the model-based research itself. Significant attention in the literature analysis is paid to an influence of inert gas on processes in the ladle, a criterion analysis of model research and simulation possibilities of the homogenization processes in the ladle, simulation possibilities of the element transfer processes between metal and slag phases as well as influences of the initial and boundary conditions on these processes. The experimental part of the thesis describes the model assembly of a diminished physical model of the ladle designed in a geometric scale 1:9. The experimental part itself focuses on a description of the developed experimental methodologies and a study of the influence of boundary conditions on the course of the studied processes. The results are further processed through a mathematical and statistical analysis.
