Měření udržitelného rozvoje pomocí vybraných indikátorů v rámci Evropské unie

Abstract

This bachelor´s thesis “Measurement of sustainable development using selected indicators within the European union” is focused on the issue of sustainable development of the EU member states and the United Kingdom in selected years 1995, 2000, 2009 and 2015. The theoretical part is defined by the definition of basic terms and concepts of sustainable development, characteristic indicators, goals and principles of sustainable development, including the measurement methodology. The practical part analyses in detail the sustainable development and sustainability of countries by comparing the results of the created indices and their subsequent analyses. The monitored countries are divided into four categories of sustainability and are compared over time. Subsequently, a linear regression model was created to determine the dependence of the selected two variables, and cluster analysis was performed. Finally, the results of the analyses were compared and the relevant conclusions were drawn, accompanied by appropriate recommendations.
