Úspory při nákupu komponentů z asijských zemí, porovnání s evropskými dodavateli

Abstract

Management of Invensys Appliance Controls s.r.o. is pushed by corporate senior management to reduce the cost. Therefore was decided to look for other suppliers of components in Asian countries. There was additional reason – to find suppliers which can substitute current suppliers in case of troubles with delivering of components. Based on Pareto analysis were selected specific components which should be supplied by new manufacturers. They were found and internally approved. For period of 9 months the components were ordered at them and used in production. After this period the overall impact was evaluated and compared with European suppliers. The significant cost savings were recognized. But Invensys Appliance Controls s.r.o. faced the serious issues like quality problems, overdue deliveries due to unreliable supplier or delayed consignments due to longer ship transport. Anyway all of these troubles were estimated as issues which are worth of cost savings. Company is now taking proper steps to get in closer cooperation with Asian suppliers to improve quality of their products and increase the reliability too. The activities leading to transport time improvement are done too. The extension of supplies towards to other components was recommended. Utilization of Trans-Siberian Railway to improve the transport time was suggested as well. It was discovered that some Asian suppliers do not use enough the capacity of packing of components. Therefore the change of packing was proposed to solve this issue and reduce the transport cost. For the same reason was recommended to consolidate the deliveries into bigger quantity and use container instead of pallets.
