Analýza a sociologický průzkum PLA versus PET lahve

Abstract

This thesis concerns the analysis and sociological survey of the relation between PLA and PET bottles and is divided into two basic parts. The first one describes the main qualities of PLA and PET bottles, the progress of its consumption in the Czech Republic and EU. Moreover, the legal side of those containers’ production is concerned as well as a study of its circulation, beginning with the production and ending with the fact of being reused. The chapter discussing the production of PLA and PET bottles also compares its chemical and physical qualities followed with the utilization of the base material itself. Considering that the topic of this thesis concerns very actual subject matter, speaking of the market over-ruled with PET bottles and recently distributed PLA bottles, the second part of this paper interprets the sociological survey carried by the author herself. The main goal of this survey was to map and document the awareness of social entities affected by this matter and therefore was carried out within four target groups. The aim of this thesis was to compare the two above listed containers (PLA and PET bottles), particularly speaking of their description, the perspective held by its consumers and society, and confirm (or disconfirm) the possibility of its further utilization.
