Abstract

The dissertation work is dedicated to the characteristics and capabilities of the selected processing of lithium resources in the Czech Republic. Increased attention is focused on the area of Cínovec in the Ore Mountains, which is currently the largest potential source of lithium, rubidium and cesium in the Czech Republic. This is one of the most important resources throughout Europe. One part of the work deals with other potential sources of mentioned metals connected with mining locality of kaolin raw materials. In the extensive experimental work are verified possibilities of magnetic and flotation treatment of selected raw materials in order to obtain high-quality concentrates with enhanced levels of lithium. The best results were achieved by applying the flotation separation with laboratory conditions. The concentration was 1.62% Li, 1.05% and 0.028% Rb in concentrate. Use of dry magnetic separation were got contrates with 1.42% Li, 1.09% Rb and 0.035% Cs. The wet magnetic separation permits reach of commercial product with content of 1.26% Li, 0.95%, 0.03% Rb, and Cs. For complete characterization of the produced products and studied materials were applied analysis of the flow properties of these raw materials.
