Analýza posunů a přetvoření kostela Sv. Petra z Alkantary v Karviné-Dolech

Abstract

This bachelor thesis analyzes the displacements and deformations of the Church of St. Peter of Alcantara in Karviná-Doly caused by long-term mining activities. The objective was to determine vertical changes, tilt, and structural geometry by comparing historical data with the author's geodetic measurements. A combination of precise leveling and total station measurements was utilized. The results confirmed significant uneven subsidence (approx. 2 m between 2006 and 2026), which resulted in a tilt of tens of mm/m. The analysis demonstrated that the deformations are primarily global in nature and the structure remains relatively intact. Comparison with historical data indicates that the main phase of movement has already occurred and the object is currently stabilized. The thesis confirms the necessity of geodetic monitoring in undermined areas.
