Abstract

Use of the EU Subsidies in the Cohesion Region Moravia - Silesia Jana Jurášková EU regional policy contributes to the economic growth, strengthening competitiveness and employment growth. In the Czech Republic, these objectives are implemented through the OP, one of these programs is also ROP MS. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to present the key aspects of EU regional policy and to describe the usage of the financial resources from EU structural funds, on the sample of selected project realized within the ROP MS in the programming period 2007-2013. It was selected the project "Bicycle paths Route K, S, V Bohumín - The part of the route K", which the purpose of the project was to improve the quality of life in Bohumín, improve the quality of security infrastructure for the range of people to work, entertainment and services for leisure and tourism. The realization of the project was completed successfully and in 2010 the project was handed over to public use.
