Mezinárodní migrace v EU a USA

Abstract

The thesis is focused on international migration in the EU and the USA. The aim of this thesis is based on data analysis to clarify the issue of international migration in the European Union and the United States. Thesis consists of 5 chapters, the first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter focuses on the theoretical definition and types of international migration. There are also defined consequences, causes, and specific forms of migration, environmental migration and remittances. The third chapter describes selected aspects of international migration in the European Union. The largest part of this chapter is devoted to asylum and migration policy of the EU, the EU's initiatives and programmes. The fourth chapter describes international migration in the United States and the European Union. The chapter also focuses on the impact of global financial and economic crisis on international migration, policies and programmes of the labour migration in the USA and selected member countries of the EU. Part of the fourth chapter is the subsequent comparison of international migration in the EU and the USA. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
