Abstract

The subject of this thesis will be the evaluation of the equipment of the Moravian-Silesian Fire Rescue Service for safe work on water and ice. In the first part of the thesis a statistical overview of water rescue incidents will be presented, both for the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and for the Fire Rescue Service of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Furthermore, the theory of work on water and ice will be described with a description of the equipment used, especially vessels, personal protective equipment and rescue equipment for work on water and ice. The second part will describe the equipment of the Moravian-Silesian Region Fire Rescue Service for work on water and ice by individual fire stations. This equipment will be evaluated according to the characteristics of the firefighting district of the stations and subsequently retrofitting will be proposed as necessary with financial costs.
