Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a bronze casting with arboreal motif using the lost wax casting method. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the symbolism of trees in different cultures and myths as well as the description of individual trees by various nations. The next chapter of the theoretical part deals with the development of jewelry since the prehistoric times, pass the chosen ancient empires, all the way to its development in the Czech lands. The practical part describes the individual production steps including the initial design and clay model making, defining the manufacturing process, and the casting and finishing operations.
