Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of direct current (DC) motor control and the design of a corresponding pulse converter. The theoretical part includes the experimental parameter identification of the real ATAS P2RH772 DC motor and the subsequent creation of its complex mathematical model in the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The practical part details the hardware development using the DRV8262 integrated driver and the ESP32 microcontroller, including the printed circuit board (PCB) design with an emphasis on thermal management. The culmination of the work is the physical commissioning of the prototype and the analysis of its waveforms. In conclusion, real oscillograms are compared with theoretical assumptions and the outputs of the simulation model. This evaluates the accuracy of the model and analyzes the impact of the switching frequency and modulation method on the design trade-off between current ripple and power losses of the converter.
