Modelování a simulace činnosti kardiorespiračního systému

Abstract

This thesis deals with the modeling and simulation of cardiorespiratory system. This model is based on the cardiovascular and respiratory system, which is mutually interconnected by common parameters. Introduction is dedicated to basic concepts of modeling and is focused on the modeling of biomedical systems. The problem of the physiology of cardiorespiratory system is also mentioned there. The thesis describes the principle and function of the cardiorespiratory system. It describes creation of the mathematical model and its implementation in the simulation waveforms of selected variables too. The thesis also contains three case studies, which were created by modifying the basic model. The first study deals with cardiorespiratory response to a step change in the concentration of oxygen in arterial blood C_aO2. The second study focuses on modeling LBNP test. And third study examines reaction of CVRS system to reduction of the concentration of the oxygenation of venous blood C_vO2 by 10% and then 15%. In conclusion, there is evaluation of achieved results. Cardiorespiratory model is implemented in MATLAB Simulink software.
