Analýza dostupnosti domovů pro osoby se zdravotním postižením ve vybraném kraji

Abstract

The social policy of the state is an inseparable part of all current democratically developed countries. The objective of this diploma thesis is an evaluation of current accessibility of the homes for disabled persons in the Czech Republic specifically in Moravian-Silesian region. The assessment of accessibility of the homes has been done in three aspects. Accessibility is assessed first from the perspective of the homes, then from the perspective of client number and number of beds. The accessibility is quantified in kilometers and in minutes in order to increased objectivity of results. The method of description was used to fulfill the set goal of the diploma thesis, especially in the first theoretical chapter. In the practical part is performed analysis of the accessibility of thirty-seven homes for disabled persons in the Moravian-Silesian Region. This analysis showed that the occupancy or availability of these social services is very heterogeneous in the Moravian-Silesian Region. In connection with this fact, the last chapter sets out proposals and recommendations leading to the optimization of the Regional Network of Social Services.
