KITTEL, David. Assesment of Physical Workload of Nurses in the Nursing Home. The Bachelor thesis: Ostrava, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, 2016. Head of thesis: Ing. Lucie Síkorová, Ph.D. The aim of the thesis is to perform input assessing of physical workload of nurses in a nursing home with regard to possible impairment of the musculoskeletal system during work and propose further steps to ensure occupational safety and health. The theoretical part introduces the work of nurses and identifies the issues of physical workload and the associated health risks. The practical part determines, through a questionnaire, opinions of nurses about physical workload. Next, using a checklist it identifies risks that are associated with specific work activities that nurses identify as the most physically demanding and the analysis of such risks, including the draft measures is done.
