Ivana Mahdalová, Ph.D. The subject of the thesis is the modification of the existing level intersection in Ostrava, cadastral zoning Slezská Ostrava and the analysis of the traffic situation at this intersection. The main reason for the modification is the inappropriate alignment of the main road, as well as the overall improvement of the traffic situation and safety. The thesis focuses on the description of the area and the existing situation, traffic volume forecast, capacity calculations and accident assessment. The aim of the thesis is to propose possible options for the reconstruction of the intersection with a recommendation of the most suitable solution.
