Abstract

Task of the dissertation was to find out how environmentally and effectively use the sludge which is created during the mine water treatment. The theoretical part is focused to mine water’s characteristics and options of their treatment before the release to recipient. Next part describes properties of sludge which is created during the mine water treatment. The experimental part is focused on the description the mine water treatment plant Březno, part of the company Severočeské doly a.s. This part is also focused on mine water and sludge sampling and analyses, which were necessary to evaluate results. The results showed if the sludge is exploitable on the ground surface or is exploitable as additive to dump.
