Abstract

This Thesis addresses the topic of ventilation system equipment and the issue of heat-generated, gaseous emissions. First and foremost, a brief explanation on the concepts of controlled fires and wild blazes is presented. Then, the hazards of wild blazes are discussed, with a special focus on the dangers of smoke emission. Further, this thesis addresses the concepts of ventilation with a description of neutral planes and the influence of location. Later chapters present individual components of automated fire safety ventilation systems, including requirements placed on the construction of these systems. This section is followed by a description of methods used in forced ventilation engineering. In the appendix to this thesis, there is a design for an automated ventilation system for smoke and heat ventilation for a given building. This design includes technical parameters and a building plan for smoke and heat exhaust ventilation system.
