Prostorová segregace sociálních skupin na Ostravsku

Abstract

The thesis deals with spatial occurrence of segregated social groups in the area of Ostrava region. A theoretic commentary on segregation is a part of the work. The methods used to determinate segregated locations were the Lorenz curve and the Gini coefficient, relative frequency, selected indices of spacial metrics, location quotient and factor analysis. Specific indicators from the census in 1991 and 2001 were choosen for the analysis. The final part includes the comparison and evaluation of distribution of social groups in Ostrava region obtained by used methods.
